Jase - Law Enforcement

From Burnt Out to Back to Life

After 16 years in law enforcement, I thought feeling exhausted, unhealthy and constantly trying to "catch up" on life was just part of the job. Like many shift workers, I had tried other coaches, both online and in person, but they never truly understood what shift work does to your body, your mind and your family life.
Then I found Roger.
I stumbled across A Healthy Shift podcast by chance, and after just a few episodes I remember thinking, "This guy gets it.” It was the first time I'd heard someone who genuinely understood the realities of shift work because he'd lived it himself.
Joining Roger's coaching program was one of the best decisions I've ever made.
What amazed me most was how simple everything was. The habits never felt overwhelming, in fact, they almost felt like a cheat code.
One of the biggest differences with Roger's coaching was the weekly check-ins. They were never about making you feel guilty because you missed a gym session, didn't hit 10,000 steps, or went over your calories. There was none of the shame or "all-or-nothing" mindset that so many coaching programs fall into. Instead, Roger met me where I was each week. He took the time to understand what was happening in my life, my work and my shift pattern, then tailored his advice to suit my circumstances. Every check-in felt like a conversation, not a report card. We would make small, realistic adjustments that built on the previous week, and before I knew it, those simple changes had become lifelong habits. Roger doesn't try to make your life fit his coaching, he tailors his coaching to fit your life, and I truly believe that's what makes it so successful.
Roger has an incredible ability to simplify health and explain the "why" behind every habit. As they say, knowledge is power, and Roger's knowledge is genuinely life-changing.
The biggest surprise wasn't just the improvements in my own health, it was how quickly my family noticed the difference. I had more energy, I was more present, calmer, happier, and I honestly hadn't felt this good in years. Roger didn't just help me improve my health, he helped bring me back to life.
Throughout the program, his support was outstanding. He was always there to answer questions, offer guidance and keep me moving forward. By the end of the 12 weeks, I felt like I'd gained more than a coach, I gained a lifelong friend.
As someone who has spent 16 years serving with Victoria Police, I can honestly say I would have been incredibly honoured to have served alongside Roger. His integrity, compassion and genuine desire to help people are obvious in everything he does.
If you're a shift worker who's struggling to find balance, don't accept that feeling exhausted, unhealthy or simply surviving is "just part of the job." There is a better way, and Roger has lived it himself. He understands the challenges because he's walked the same path, and he knows how to help you take back control of your health, one simple habit at a time.
This coaching has genuinely changed my life, and I can say without hesitation that it has been one of the best investments I've ever made. I'll proudly call myself an ambassador for A Healthy Shift because I want every shift worker to know that there is hope, and there is someone who truly understands what you're going through.
I'll continue spreading the word because I know firsthand the impact Roger's coaching can have. If sharing my story encourages even one person to take that first step, it'll be worth it.
Thank you, Roger. You didn't just improve my health, you gave me my life back.
