EVIDENCE-BASED SHIFT WORK EDUCATION
Helping shift workers thrive and organisations build internal shift work capability.
A Healthy Shift was founded on one simple belief: shift workers deserve better education. This page shares the story behind that mission, the experience that shaped it, and why I'm committed to helping shift workers thrive and organisations build internal shift work capability through evidence-based education.
The Story Behind A Healthy Shift
For more than 40 years, I worked around the clock in one of Australia's most demanding frontline professions.Like thousands of other shift workers, I accepted fatigue, poor sleep, brain fog and low energy as simply part of the job. I believed that was normal. It wasn't.When I began studying the science of sleep, circadian rhythms, nutrition and human performance, I realised the problem wasn't shift work itself. The problem was that nobody had ever taught us how to work shifts in a way that supported our biology. That realisation changed the direction of my life.Today, I combine four decades of 24/7 frontline experience with evidence-based research to help shift workers improve their health and help organisations build healthier, safer and more capable 24/7 workforces.Everything I teach is practical, evidence-based and designed for the realities of working around the clock.Because every shift worker deserves access to the education I never had.Areas of Study

Proven in the Real World.
Evidence matters.
But evidence alone doesn't change lives.
My role is to take the latest research on sleep, circadian rhythms, nutrition, recovery and human performance and translate it into practical strategies that shift workers and organisations can apply every day.
After more than four decades working around the clock, I understand something research alone can't teach.
What works in theory doesn't always work on night shift.
That's why everything I teach is designed to fit the realities of working a 24/7 roster, not an ideal world.
Whether I'm coaching an individual, educating a workforce or helping an organisation build internal shift work capability, my commitment is always the same.
Evidence first. Practical always.
How can I help you?
